Thomas and Charlies big adventure

30 Sept 2017

We have finished our first trip of the season, and after a couple of days in Cooktown are out tomorrow for a busy few months, finishing Dec 24th back on the Gold Coast.

Charlie (9) and Thomas (13) and their Grandfather joined us for 8 days of fun and fishing and snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, and both boys caught their 2nd black marlin each, both small blacks around 200-300 lbs, to follow on from their first ones 2 years ago on their first trip on Tradition.

They had a great time with incredible weather, really enjoying their light tackle fishing, bottom fishing for coral trout and lots of snorkelling each day in the Ribbon Reefs. We even kept them interested enough for a few hours marlin fishing in the afternoons.

The rest of the fleet have started too, and already 3 granders have been caught, with a few other big (900 + ) fish released in the last week. Really looking forward to getting out there tomorrow and seeing what we can put together. The southerly current and water look incredible, and this week could really turn on.

We have a few spot available, so see if you can get some friends together and make a trip of a lifetime to the greatest reef of them all.

Also thinking of all our friends in Puerto Rico, the Islands and DR affected by the hurricanes
