SLAM fishing hots up!!

After a quick flight home and an afternoon with Thomas at the beach house.(Thomas is my nephew, he is almost 4)

We headed off on his first big fishing expedition to the famous Yamba river. With a stop at the tackel shop to pick up some fresh live beach worms and some prawns we headed down the beach to the secret spot.

After missing a couple the bite was on, Thomas got his first whiting, which was quickly followed by a flathead and bream. His first fish and an inshore SLAM as well !!!

Then Thomas bored so it was time for a swim.

A great day for all, and be back in Cairns on Sunday to start up again.
