A week of charters from Australia and the US in Cap Cana

Josh Ardis joined me for a week of charters of my clients, Mark and hid son Dalton joined us from the US, and Rolf came all the way from Australia to catch a white marlin !!!

On our first day with Mark and Dalton we went 2 from 2 white marlin, with Dalton cathcing his first ever marlin !!!

Rolf joined us for 2 days of fishing, and after catching his swordfish in the Florida Keys, was looking for his white marlin to give him every billfish species. rolf is a legend in Australian gamefishing circles, he is the king of Great White Sharks, and runs cage diving trips out of Port Lincoln. I first met Rolf in the early 90’s when we all fished out of Lizard Island.

Our first day was slow, we only had 1 white marlin bite, but came up trumps on th second day, with rolf catching his white marlin, a great fun fish for him. We had a great time, talking about our old friends and those wonderful days on #10 Ribbon in the 90’s, and especially about our great friend Capt Geoff Ferguson, who sadly left us last year.

Mark and Dalton were back with us for a few more days, and we went 2 from 5 whites on Monday, went searching at the FADS tuesday, but nothing was going on, and on Wednesday, we showed why we love the DR, we left the dock at 9.30, were back in the slip at 10.30 after catching a white marlin 3 miles from the marina !!!!
