Been a pretty good bite at the top and bottom reaches of the reef, and a bit patchy in between. Jenny Louise way down south off Cairns has had a great bite with a bunch of BIG fish seen and caught. But again the bite has been for a couple of select boats while the others watched the action!!
A few nice ones in the middle Ribbons with some boats catching a couple and the other boats getting bites as well.
Up on No: 10 Ribbon the few boats fishing here had bites and we got one about 500 lbs down at Heartbreak from a couple of bites.
The opening was alive in the afternoon, with rainbow runners, bluefin tunas and small yellowfins.
We are back in Watsons Bay with the My Way for the next few days, and will be fishing No: 10.
The wind is back, and getting up to 30 knots over the next few days, so they should really start biting.
The fishing has been better and better each week, and late Nov and into Dec should still be firing down off Cairns.
We have a couple of openings after Nov 25 so come and catch a big one
